Jay

Jay R.
Competitive golfer benefits from specialized injection therapy to successfully relieve low back pain symptoms.

Jay couldn't even make it through an entire round of golf because of his low back pain. Dr. Harris of SpineAustin designed a treatment plan for Jay that involved prolotherapy injections. “For the last year, I've been without any real back pain symptoms," he says. Jay continues to travel nationally and is planning to turn pro, play several Nationwide Tour Monday qualifiers and attend Q-school. Learn more about Jay's success story.

Brooke

Brooke B.
Early detection of scoliosis enables nonsurgical treatments to work

After a school screening confirmed the existence of scoliosis in Brooke's spine, Dr. Von Rueden of SpineAustin recommended a brace to try and stop the curve in its tracks. Three years later, Brooke's curvature was stopped, and it's no longer something she thinks about on a daily basis. “I knew that if I had chosen not to wear the brace and just ignored it, I would have suffered in the long run, and I’d need surgery.” Learn more about Brooke's success story.

Paden

Paden K.
Football player finds a nonsurgical route back on the field

Paden only played about half the season of his sophomore year due to pain caused by spondylolysis. Dr. Von Rueden recommended a customized physical therapy program at SpineAustin along with a custom-fitted plastic body brace to help the spinal fracture heal. "And now, after playing healthy in 16 games on the way to a state championship, I have a full scholarship to play the sport I love in college." Learn more about Paden's success story.
