Trent McGinty, MSPT

Director of Physical Therapy

Trent McGinty has specialized in spine since 2004. He joined SpineAustin in 2005 as the Director of Physical Therapy. He graduated from Texas State University in 2002 with a Masters in Physical Therapy. In 2004, he achieved certification in McKenzie mechanical diagnosis and treatment therapy. He completed a residency at the Manual Therapy Institute in 2006. He is a guest lecturer at the Texas State School of Physical Therapy and has lectured on spine care at an orthopedic conference in Rosario, Argentina. Trent is also a Certified Clinical Instructor.

With a bachelor’s degree in Psychology, he feels it is essential to not overlook any aspect of a patient’s rehabilitation. His strength in educating patients on the anatomy and physiology involved in their injury or surgery, and the purpose of each treatment philosophy, helps to decrease anxiety as they return to function, and life!

Most of his time outside of work is spent with his wife and two young boys. He also enjoys soccer, rock climbing, hiking, photography, and is active in his church with leadership, missions, and children’s programs.
